General information

Publications of the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences is an editorial series published since 1962, initially (until 1970) entitled "Materiały i Prace Instytutu Geofizyki PAN". At present it contains the following subject series:

A - Physics of the Earth's Interior	ISSN 0137-2440
B - Seismology	ISSN 0139-0109
C - Geomagnetism	ISSN 0138-0117
D - Physics of the Atmosphere	ISSN 0138-0125
E - Hydrology (formerly Water Resources)	ISSN 0138-0133
M - Miscellanea	ISSN 0138-015X

As to the contents, the issues vary in character: some contain processed results of observations and measurements from the Institute’s stations and observatories, some contain selected and revised contributions to conferences organized or co-organized by the Institute, some are devoted to instrumental problems.

Of special importance are the issues with subtitle Monographic volume which contain monographic treatises or selections of papers devoted to certain geophysical problems.

All publications are reviewed. Almost all are published in English, although some papers, directed mostly to domestic audience, are in Polish with informative English summaries or abstracts, and English figure captions and table headings.
