The papers presented in this volume concern the physical processes in the earthquake foci, the seismic wave and magnitude problems, as well as, the seismicity aspects of geodynamics.
A majority of these papers has been presented during the KAPG (Commision of Academies of Socialistic Countries - "Planetary Geophysics") session in Kraków, April 1974, in the frame of symposia on the physical processes in focal regions and the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of seismic waves.

 

This issue contains the results of recordings of some elements of atmospheric electricity and daily observations of major meteorological factors, noted at the S. Kalinowski Geophysical Observatory of the Polish Academy of Sciences at Świder. Data for the years 1957-1973 have been published in "Prace Obserwatorium Geofizycznego w Świdrze Nos. 16, 19, 20, 22, 25, 29, 33, 34, 38 and in "Materiały i Prace Instytutu Geofizyki PAN", Nos. 23, 28, 38, 44, 53, 63, 77 and 80, respectively.

 

Ozone observations have been made by means of Dobson No. 84 spectrophotometer in the Geophysical Observatory at Belsk since March 1963.
An International Comparison of Ozone Instruments was held at Belsk from 24 June to 7 July 1974. Basing on results of the Comparison all the data presented in this issue are corrected.

 

This issue contains papers presented at the Ozone Seminar, organized in accordance with the decision of the KAPG Commission "Planetary Geophysical Research" by the Institute of Geophysics in the framework of cooperation of Academies of Sciences of socialist countries.
